Since I have the beta rules but can't get into the site with the beta questions can someone tell me are kuirassiers armed with pistols classed as shock or battle troops? also can cavalry armed with pistol evade while in one line?

Battle troops and no.

Caveat - doing this from memory despite having the pre-production rule book to hand and all the documents. Lazy me

So unarmoured cavalry in two ranks would'nt be very happy getting shot at then?

So unarmoured cavalry in two ranks would'nt be very happy getting shot at then?

Only if shot at by "outdated" weapons, and even then it isn't as bad as Unprotected in FoG:AM
