Just for truth's sake it must be remembered that my peaceful and beloved province of Cappadocia was firstly attacked by the warlike and bully Pontics!
But a day will come when the almighty Gods of Olympus let the Seleucids take their revenge over those mountainfolk shepherd!

Here are the moves declared by each player in due order:
Gauls (deeter)
1. Build suburbs in Cispadana
2. Attack vs. Baetica
Carthaginians (petergarnett)
1. Build temple in Africa
2. Build fortifications in Garamantica
Ptolemaics (batesmotel)
1. Build suburbs in Judaea
2. Build suburbs in Creta
3. Attack vs Macedonia
4. Attack vs Phasania
Macedonians (george 123)
1. Attack vs Odrysia
Seleucids (Lysimachos)
1. Grain Distribution
2. Build suburbs in Mysia
3. Build suburbs in Bithynia
Romans (razorback77)
1. Build temple in Latium
As anyone can see there are no moves interferring with each other.
Anyway a problem derives from the 3rd illegal move of the Ptolemaic player who wants to attack the capital province whereas the rules says “The capital can be attacked only when at least 2 other “home” provinces are already occupied by enemies.” Because at the moment only 1 Macedonian home province is occupied (Thessalia) batesmotel has to attack Aetolia instead Macedonia.
Actions Required.
- deeter has to challenge petergarnett about the attack in Baetica,
- batesmotel has to challenge george123 about the attack in Aetolia
- batesmotel must wait the Thursday 24th lottery draws (1st number on the left of the Genova column) to know who will manage the Phasanians (Numidian army / Juba I) in Phasania,
- george123 has to challenge Lysimachos about the attack in Odrysia

I thought Argolis was also a home province of Macedonia, in which case I can attack the capitol. What is the definition of a home province?Lysimachos wrote:Here are the moves declared by each player in due order:

Argolis is not a "Home province" because in the rules is written:
"Each nation has 6 provinces, with 4 “home” provinces (one of them, marked with an asterisk, being the capital) and 2 “border” provinces."
Wich means that the 4 home provinces are those postioned in a square or in a rectangle and the 2 border provinces the ones projecting towards the enemy territory and separeted from the 4 home provinces.

Alas I forget to report the lottery draws of thursday the 24th and batesmotel is still waiting to know the name of the commander who will lead the Phasanians in battle ..
but the waiting is over because the lottery said:
Genova 67
wich means the Phasanians will be led in battle by the Roman player (razorback77), that batesmotel can now challenge.
Good fight everybody!

Battle results
The naked men of Cisalpine Gaul have defeated the Punic types during their invasion of Baetica. The protected African spears in the center collapsed after a spirited defense while a large cavalry battle raged inconclusively on one flank. Many heads (but no camps) were taken.
Results:
Gauls 16/48
Punics 44/40
Deeter the Gallic One

Re: Battle results
Be it known that we offer the hand of peace to our gallant gallic neighbours - they should now have enough body parts to make a civilised army.deeter wrote:The naked men of Cisalpine Gaul have defeated the Punic types during their invasion of Baetica. In the meantime we are busy nailing the remainder of our leaders to large bits of wood in order to inspire others to greater efforts.
A good victory deeter - not sure I ever had a chance!

1. Ptolemaics [86]
2. Macedonians [56]
3. Carthaginians [52]
4. Seleucids [38]
5. Romans [31]
6. Gauls [26]
The random events that affect the players during the 5th turn are the subsequent:
Gauls [70] Great Blaze / the player can destroy 1 enemy temple of his choice
Carthaginians [58] Defensive Artworks / during this turn the player can gain the same effects of a fortification in a province of his choice
Ptolemaics [16] Local Insurrection / 1 fortification (if present) is destroyed
Macedonians [60] Defensive Artworks / during this turn the player can gain the same effects of a fortification in a province of his choice
Seleucids [43] Invasion / 1 unstable province is attacked by an independent army and it is Bithynia being the only unstable one
Romans [37] Invasion / 1 unstable province is attacked by an independent army and it is Bruttium [23] being the first mentioned in the rules.
Now, within Wednesday at 24.00 GMT:
- deeter has to declare wich temple will be destroyed by a great blaze,
- petergarnett has to declare where his temporary fortifications will be built
- george123 has to declare where his temporary fortifications will be built
Then all the players are requested to PM me their actions within Thursday at 18.00 GMT.
The lottery draws of Thursday will also determine who will manage the invasion forces against Bithynia and Bruttium

The results of the lottery are the following:
Milano (Romans) 80
Napoli (Seleucids) 88
This means that the invasion of Bruttium will be managed by the Seleucid player while that of Bithynia, being not possible to be led by the same Seleucid player that owns the province, will be conducted by the player that follows him in the list and, being me the last of it, just by the first, that is the Carthaginian one.
So:
- Lysimachos with the Greeks (using Pyrrhic in Italy without elephants and a max of 4 phalanx and 3 tarantines) has to challenge razorback77 in Bruttium,
- petergarnett with the Attalids has to challenge Lysimachos in Bithynia.

Here are the moves declared by each player in due order:
Ptolemaics (batesmotel)
1. Attack vs Aetolia
2. Build fortifications in Judaea
3. Build suburbs in Phasania
4. Build suburbs in Argolis
5. Build temple in Aegyptus
Macedonians (george 123)
1. Attack vs Thessalia
1. Attack vs Mysia
Carthaginians (petergarnett)
1. Attack vs Melita
Seleucids (Lysimachos)
1. Alliance with Paeonians
2. Build suburbs in Phoenicia
Romans (razorback77)
1. Build temple in Campania
2. Alliance with Judaeans
Gauls (deeter)
1. Build suburbs in Venetia
2. Build fortifications in Narbonensis
3. Attack vs. Pannonia
As anyone can see there are no moves interferring with each other and the only correction is due to the Roman building move in Campania, where the construction will necessarily have as object not a temple but suburbs, still lacking in the province.
Actions Required.
- Lysimachos (Pyrrhic in Italy without elephants and a max of 4 phalanx and 3 tarantines) has to challenge razorback77 about the attack in Bruttium,
- petergarnett (Attalids) has to challenge Lysimachos about the attack in Bithynia,
- batesmotel has to challenge george123 about the attack in Aetolia,
- george123 has to challenge batesmotel about the attack in Thessalia,
- george123 has to challenge Lysimachos about the attack in Mysia,
- petergarnett must wait the Saturday 10th lottery draws (1st number on the left of the Bari column) to know who will manage the Meliteans (Illyrians) in Melita,
- Lysimachos must wait the Saturday 10th lottery draws (1st number on the left of the Napoli column) to know if the alliance with the Paeonians has succeeded,
- razorback77 must wait the Saturday 10th lottery draws (1st number on the left of the Milano column) to know if the alliance with the Judaeans has succeeded,
- deeter must wait the Saturday 10th lottery draws (1st number on the left of the Cagliari column) to know who will manage the Pannonians (Illyrians) in Pannonia.
Never had a decade so full of engagements!
