Does this game have multiplayer option?

Yes it uses our revolutions PBEm server to give a really integrated and easy to use multiplayer game. It is the same as the system we used for Field of Glory which has been a huge success.

The multiplayer option is excellent news. I am however concerned by the "our revolutions PBEm server" comment. Does that mean if you aren't hosting the server there is no online play or is there an option for a player
hosted server?

Forgive me for not knowing about your PBEm options. This is the first Slitherine game to catch my attention.

There are no player hosted servers because of version control and security reasons.

The product page mentions "...multiplayer modes..." Does this mean there are variations. Can we play campaigns by email? Or am i reading too much into this

It is only playable via our PBEM server.

Jeez - when did that change - this means I cant play against myself - last time I read the website before pre ordering it said there would be a hotseat mode ...
