My battle is # 2 that started last season so i dont feel a reason to wait unless thunderous grumblings rise from Olympus, followed by thou shalt nots in BOLD CAP"S
and here i thought marrying into Armenia would
curb your enthusiasm for warmongering :?
It is your own daughter that is demanding the famous apple cider from the orchards of New Englandia :D

The Vespaia Confederation sends notice to the failed experiments of Rhome and Revoltus that to have such named Provinces adjoined to the Vespaian Lands is an insult to our forefathers.

We march to right the wrongs, and exhort our allies to assist us in the correction of these mapmaking errors.

Revolting Revoltus

Post by claymore58 »

The mighty army of Westralia moves for the 1st time. It is now well blooded from many battles defending our homeland from the despicable Onnanist Cannites and Bravetarts (they were not defeats, just tactical retreats). Now we March into a land made to serve us - Revoltus!! PM will be issued in due course. Please select province of your choice, Sir ahuyton.
They laid waste to our land ....

We shall have a second game if I remember correctly? I've taken a time out, sort of with FOG the last couple of weeks but I'm feeling the itch return now.
Still occupied the next few days but will make the challenge on thursday or friday.

Patch Version 1.2.7

Post by claymore58 »

Dear Despots and Sundry Supreme Rulers.
Should we wait for the official patch before commencing this round of battles or leave it to the individual participants?

Triarius wrote:Armies of Tuam stir from their winter quarters and :-

1) Resume their righteous fight to liberate the province of Mytilene from the Yorkist/Kappadokian oppressors where an experienced army has overwintered.

2) March into Englandia (Nanotuck) to prosecute the war declared last year.

3) Continue the Whiskey Wars - Invade the lands of Clan Brave (via the lands of our relatives of the Delian Confederation) after the swift ejection of their invasion of last autumn in the campaign to put the 'e' back in 'Whiskey'.

4) Follow up the Declaration of War presented to the Utopians during the winter season and advance into their territory (via our allies of Crimea and Egypt) to teach them the difference between win and draw.
This has become known in Tuam as the Press Complaints Campaign!
The Kappadokians have heard of your fierce reputation & withdrawn into the city to carry on feasting & enjoying the latest CharlieChap scrolls (it's the one where he plays the role of an inspired general dressed in a chicken costume). The timing of the relief army's dispatch has been noted.

I'd recommend waiting - last time we didn't & it caused players a few issues with existing battles (a winning position no longer was).

It's upto you the players though.

Still accepting builds today for those who have not PM'd me so far. In particular those of you with morale in the red or amber zones - be warned as 2 countries fell last season after a string of defeats plus failure to toss the odd cabbage to the masses back home.

Blood Alliance (the marriage ones) - please make sure you fully understand how these work. You cannot refuse to send aid to a blood ally even if his attacker is also a blood ally. National morale was boasted a little by the royal marriages but will be seriously effected by internecine war. So check who is sleeping with who before you start a war

I can't see how the event cards will affect what anyone will do. No one will know what enemies (real or potential) have to play, and if your own card is bad would that mean that you wouldn't invade anyone for the whole season?
Well , I suppose one could broadcast ones intentions on the open paprys and declare wars and then draw the coup detat card and find you are leading the worst suited list into battle!

As for not knowing what cards your enemy might have?, well, someone always has the information you might want
I did post earlier about which cards had been drawn - in particular the Kings & Queens.

Until I have all building PM's I cannot advise players of the card drawn. Those of you rushing into battle beware as you would be better to wait for the cards to be issued.

All alliances & army changes I've been informed of are now on the players table.

The map is pretty much upto date (just Xiccarph's starting cites to add plus a couple of corrections for wars which don't exist).

Building ends tonight (12.00 GMT).

I've not heard from RyanDG, Maximvs & Scar recently - they may be away currently.

Please note that hidde has changed his SoA army to Late German so extra morale bonus to anyone who can whoop him 4-1.

Good luck all

Sorry, for some reason I read "Triarius" as Morbio." I guess I'm lost as to where Triarius (Tuam) comes into it. The short answer to your question is that there is no battle between myself and Triarius. He's my ally. The Pascommuck fight is with New Englandia, and it is marked on the map in New Englandia's section. So are my fights with Morbio and Clan of the Brave. As far as I can tell, there is no campaign between myself and Triarius marked on the map. Sorry for all the confusion.

If it's only a matter of a couple days, let's wait for the patch.

It sounds like it should be this week, so sooner rather than later.

Before the challenges start to pile up I want to say that from 12/7 and a couple of weeks forward it's uncertain what kind of internet connection I will have. If all goes as planned I'm going to be able to play more or less as usual. Worst case scenario I will have no access at all.
