Last year the South Somerset Wargames Group successfully ran a Flames of War Tournament at The South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition@ The Royal Bath & West Show Ground and as such we have been asked back to run another competition. So for 2011 we are planning on adding a Filed of Glory competition as well. The dates are 16th – 17th April 2011 and I believe that the dates may clash with anoter FoG event run by the Cleveland Group in Bristol and therefore I need to contact them to find out if it's likely to happen again this year. If anyone has a contact name and details of this group could you please pass it on to me

The South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition@ The Royal Bath & West Show Ground, Shepton Mallet
16th – 17th April 2011
Entry £15 (Includes access to the location on Friday afternoon for practice games)

As part of The South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition@ The Royal Bath & West Show Ground, Shepton Mallet the South Somerset Wargames Group have been invited by the organisers to put on some wargaming events. After the success of our Flames of War competition we are pleased to announce that we will be adding a Field of Glory competition. I can also confirm that the Clevedon Group will change the dates of their event to avoid our events clashing.

The event will be a 25/28mm 650pt competition with armies drawn from the following books

Field of Glory 1: Rise of Rome: Republican Rome Army List
Field of Glory 3: Immortal Fire: Greek, Persian and Macedonian Army List
Field of Glory 5: Legions Triumphant: Imperial Rome at War
