Kujalars scenario list
Here is a list of scenarios I have made and think are finished enough to be published.
http://cid-e87d94d8701b9654.office.live ... dOfGloryPC
List of scenarios I have:
RISE OF ROME
2nd Punic Wars
* Cannae 216BC(AK)
* Ilipa 206BC(AK)
* Zama 202BC(AK)
STORM OF ARROWS/SWORDS AND SCIMITARS
* Hastings 1066 (AK) - updated to v1.2, 10.12.2010 - changed all spearmen from offensive spear to defensive spear and changed unit graphics to Sword and Scimitars norman graphics.
* Courtrai 1302 (AK) - added v1.0 24.6.2010
the Hundred Years War
* Crecy1346 (AK) - updated to v2.1, 10.12.2010 - minor fix changing levy icons to better icons from Swords&Scimitars
* Neville's Cross (AK) - added v1.0 28.7.2010
* Poitiers 1356 v1.0 - added 25.8.2010
Word of caution! Zama-scenario contains hand made nation configurations. If you open it with scenario editor and save, the setting will reset and the scenario will change. (Nation settings are inside game-fixed.xml) . Then you need to re-install scenario files, or copy the "Copy of hand edited game-fixed.xml" -> "game-fixed.xml". - This is because of a bug in a scenario editor I think.

Feel free to comment, I am making them better if just know how.
I might even add new scenarios there now and then.
Yours Ari

Re: Kujalars scenario list
i'e now played crecy twice in multiplayer, one as the english and one as the french and both times the french won.kujalar wrote: Feel free to comment, I am making them better if just know how.

maybe there's too many peasant militia (i didn't use women and children); they are not that bad in broken terrain, so if the french find enough room to use them, i think it becomes very difficult for the english to hold the line
a very fine scenario, in all, thanks
I have managed to win the Crecy from both sides. I think that playing as an English there is not much of a margin for errors.
What I have found for English to do at Crecy is,
- first form a solid line of bow so that you get max firepower and concenrate the fire as much as possible. At first the genoese bowmen are target number one, and later the french knights. Shooting at french mob is a waste of arrows.
- when the first french knight come to a charge range, change the most vulnerable bowmen backwards and replace them with some english knights.
- be cautios not to commit welsh spearmen to the frontline too early because they might anarchy charge. They are good against cav at broken terrain but bad on a level ground.
- be aware that your line must be solid if you try to counter French flanking you, otherwise the french mob will be too powerful.
- be ready to attack the enemy mob with the English heavy infantry to catch those last breakpoints.
Must admit I have not tried the tactic where the whole French army tries double envelopment and does not come to a bow range from the front. I have tried to make the terrain slow enough for flanks so that this maneuver would propably end up as a draw
If we think the English should be a little stronger, there are 2 things that could be made...
1. Black Prince and Edward III could be elite (currently superior).
2. I read an article which said that Germans fighting with the English were complaining after the battle. The reason was that the English were too eager to kill, the captives could not be ransomed. So there could be a unit or two of German spears.

I apologize for my technical shortcoming but I just bought FoG and I'm not familiar with how to add these scenerios. Do I just follow the link and then download the folder? Will it load automatically into my FoG game or do I need to do something else to run it? Thanks for all of your time and effort to put these together and share them!

Just download the file with the scenario and uncompress it to your "Documents\Slitherine\FieldOfGlory Scenarios" folder. Then as "game type" choose "custom game".
For more details, see this thread: viewtopic.php?t=14299
BTW, if a mod reads this: IMO the above-mentioned thread should be sticked.

hastings
hi thanks for your games
i noted that in the hastings scenario one norman foot unit has a strength of 0 (and is therefore totally unbeatable due to perverse game mechanics
) and corrected it in my PC. you may wish to correct also the version you uploaded.
thanks again for your middle ages scenarios

A remake of Crecy 1346 added.
I tried to make French army smaller in battlegroups by forming many of french foot to heavy infantry formations, and putting extra men to the most unfit levy (sizes over 600). I did not add peasant mob anymore. On the other hand all the cavalry now fights in same size as a medium infantry (400). Some of the cavalry is now squires and some are 'scouts' who have spotted the English. Total number of cavalry is 12 000. The scenario is made with a scale of about 75 yards / hex.
For Slitherine, Thanks for that paste battlegroup function at scenario editor!
