Can't access multiplayer menu

Post by AB2010 »

I am having problems accessing the multi-player and therefore PBEM version of my FOG. I have downloaded all the relevant patches and up-dates that I can find on your website and am able to create scenarios and play against the computer and opponents using the same PC. But am unable to enter the multi-player/PBEM section at all. Grateful for any advice you may be able to offer. If I had a CDROM I would have reloaded the game but as I received it via download not sure how best to proceed.

You can (and should) save the downloaded installer file for later installations.

Please tell us exactly what happens when you hit the Multiplayer button. I assume you have registered the game to your Slitherine forum account.

Cheers

When I hit 'multiplauer button it pops up 'Please wait...connecting'. This goes on for up to 20 mins when I hit 'cancel'. it the reads 'Sorry could not connect. Reason - user cancelled (code -2) (whole response).

Could you advise how i register game to Slitherine forum account (and what this does!)

You can just use the Register button on the launcher.

Do you see the information in the panel on the left side of the launcher? Are you running any firewalls which you might need to tell to allow FoG access to the internet?

Cheers
