Yes it does - if Charles won the first round he will need to pay to keep his army in place during winter ready to fight again in the spring.Blathergut wrote:I have two battles on-going; both first rounds.
Am waiting to hear from CharlesR if he will be attacking a second time. Does the coming of winter mean this invasion stops at this point?

if he choses to stay over the winter, both you and him will pay upkeep costs for your armies still in the field(double)
when spring comes the campaign will resume where it left off , ie he will have 1 won battle and ap's will be at the reduced amount for battle 2
if he withdraws and reattcaks in spring, you both will be starting over for the campaign ie 500 etc

Where in the (Lost) World
Hi hidde
Question for you for Morbio's crayoning skills.
Which province of Canaan are we currently fighting in?

Current battles
I had 6 battles going on when Fall ended, all continue. I noticed that two, and invasion of Arrakis and an invasion of Clan of the Brave, aren't noted on the map. If Ironclad and Davouthojo could PM Morbio with the provinces that I'm invading in those cases so Peter doesn't have a boldface moment when the battle reports eventually come in
, I'd appreciate it.

Having discovered that the bogs of Laphroig produce a beverage with a taste like salty mud, Phanagoria tours has decided to offer its next tour to the sunnier climes of Utopia. Challenge issued with password "utopian". Destination province is Olympus since we wish to verify if this is the new abode of the Panther.

It seems Phangorian tours wishes visit the Utopian province of Olympus. Regretably, Olympus is very popular this time of year and there are no vacancies. As it is our right to nominate a province, we suggest to visit the recenlty aquired province of Sambre instead, although we have to say Utopians don't really like girly-men and regard Bosporans are girly-men.
However, now that our peacekeeping mission in Eupatoria is concluded, we stand ready to be good hosts. There is the considertion though that the challenge was offered as winter began. Should this visit not be postponed until spring, or do we fight one battle now and pay to stay in the field until spring?

I'm reluctant to update the map as suggested until Peter G confirms that Sambre is acquired after 1 battle. Might I suggest Samnium instead? It has no city so it would be the same, from the gameplay perspective, as Sambre.deeter wrote:Having discovered that the bogs of Laphroig produce a beverage with a taste like salty mud, Phanagoria tours has decided to offer its next tour to the sunnier climes of Utopia. Taps
If I understand from some of the postings, the empire of Eupetoria has succumbed to internal revolt and is no more.....
It seems like the revolting mobs are quite powerful to be able to take out proffesional armies and destroy empires in one blow...

Phanagorian tours postpones Utopia to Spring
This is just to confirm that the Utopian tour has been postponed until Spring due to the premature arrival of Winter.

....where life is beautiful all the time
It is with regret that we watch the departure of Clan Brave from Muck.
It is unfortunate that the cold winds of winter playing around the hems of their kilts
has encouraged their leaving .
Here in Tuam we were looking forward to teaching a few more jigs and reels at a second Ceilidh
.
Can we assume it is indeed now whiskey and not whisky?

Meaning you are ceding the province or do we need to shack up for the winter and re-engage to battle in the spring?
(Peter, is there any reason to stop additional battles that are "lost World" time halted do to winter?)
