It gives a unit their first kill. Useless if you already have one.

Experience Ratio = (def exp level + 2)/(att exp level + 2)
Entrenchment Ratio = (def entr rate + 1) /(att entr rate + 1)

We can use it during the first turns, but then there will be only reinforcements who are inexperienced!

It's just a very simple bonus, dont worry if it becomes useless later in games. It's just there because we can and it adds a bit of flavour.
