Camels

I'm learning FoG and giving an army that includes camels a run out.

Am I correct in assuming camels become disordered in soft sand, as per cavalry?

From a game design point of view, is this correct as it mitigates their advantage in terrain that would otherwise be favourable?

Cavalry are severely disordered in soft sand, so much worse off.
