Hows about Hungarians then?
Made a list for the 'Black Army' with the Idea of using it similarly to the way it was used in historical 'Scorpion' formation...feedback pls:

Drop the average Knights the drilled don't make up for them being Average, take two undrilled Superior they last longer in fights. Take 1 BG Knights Superior Drilled.
Drop the mixed BG defensive Spears for 2 BG of 8 bases Armoured Drilled Defensive Spears, they work very well with the knights
Drop the LH Bow down to 2 x BGs if I could get rid of them I would but you need 6 bases an extra 2 bases is just
about worth the points.
Drop the crossbows to 1 BG of 8 Bases
Add 1 BG Poor Bow
Drop the handgunners down to 2 BG of four bases 1 Unprotected and 1 protected
Add 1 BG Serbian Light Horse Lancers
Take an IC and 3 TCs as getting terrian can be quite important moving first with HF isn't worth the loss of getting to put your Knights down last.
That should give you 12 Battle Groups and +3 PBI

Against a LH/Cavalry army I would go Hilly close down the table as much as possible and maybe take a coast so you have at least one flank to pin your army against. Take the terrain as large as is allowed.
Against a drilled Heavy/medium foot army take the smallest terrian and take the coast it uses two choices. This can also be used against Knight armies.
IMO the most important aspect of winning PBI is the fact that you get to but your Knight were they will do the most harm.
I have just found this with experience, might not work for anyone elese.

For a good mix between playability and strong Black army look and feel.
I believe you should have:
knights
light horse
szekeler light horse
clipeati with battlewagons
handgunners
The hard bit for me is getting the mix right- and deciding where to sacrifice.
For me its to get less battlegroups than I would like at the expense of make almost everything either very hard or able to evade.
3 BG of 4 Superior knights (1 drilled)
1 BG of 4 armoured superior Szekelers (supporting the knights and light horse)
1 Bg of 4 superior szekeler LH (supporting the LH and assisting the shooting)
2 BG of 4 horse archers
8 armoured clipeati
2 BWG to run along one flank of the clipeati
8 poor LF archers (delaying and as an archery ablative, even being poor it still takes 3 hits to cause a test)
6 handgunners (helping to cause shooting cohesion fails by supporting the LH shooting)
4 TCs
Most of your stuff is quick or drilled so moving first is better. You are also highly resiliant to shooting so the IC is not as much value there either.
