I'm running Mac version 1.06 and while fooling around with some things I found that for enemy units with a commander its possible to change the name of the unit. What you do it first get the cursor over said enemy unit. then while it's highlighted in the bottom panel, switch out of CEAW. Move the cursor over the CEAW window where the unit's stats are and switch back to CEAW. Click on "Reassign Commander" and then it's possible to change the name of the corps he's with. Not a game changing problem, but having the other player change your corps' names can be annoying.
Could someone running the Windows version try this & see if it happens in that version?

I don't seem to be able to do this on a PC. How in the world did you discover this?JyriErik wrote:I'm running Mac version 1.06 and while fooling around with some things I found that for enemy units with a commander its possible to change the name of the unit. I was trying to see the name of a commander who was way behind the front and when mousing aropund I saw that the "Reassign" button highlighted when I moved the cursor over it. I decided to click on it to see what would happen, and at first thought nothing but the click happened. Then I noticed the cursor blinking where the name was, so I tried to see if anything happened. That's how I found it.

Now that you explained this way I decided to give it another try and sure enough I was able to rename an enemy unit with commander. So you can also do this with the PC version. However; I would consider this action by my opponent to be juvenile.JyriErik wrote:rkr1958 wrote:I don't seem to be able to do this on a PC. How in the world did you discover this?

So it is a cross platform. Not a major bug, but it can be a way for the juvenile to show off their "skillz".
(Maybe it's an easter egg that not even the programmers knew about??)
