100 YW Campaign - Battle Phase

ANJOU
Normandy: The Duke of Normandy had only just begun the siege of Anjou when his forces were reinforced by a second army. To complicate matters, the Duke of Brittany sent a force to lift the siege and it arrived a few hours later and faces a combined force that vastly out numbers him. The Duke of Normandy has a DECISION, he can end the siege and retreat both armies, or fight.

Normandy stands. Normandy FIGHTS.

If brave Sir Stephen acts true to form and runs away like a sissy girl, Normandy SIEGES.

Once again, whoever this Sir Stephen is we will inform him you are looking for him, in the meantime we accept your challenge and will meet your pathetic yet numerous army on the field of battle. Prepare for the knocking about of those metal waste cans you wear upon your empty skulls, and beware we are bringing rabbits.... with big sharp pointy fangs

Huzzah!!! It will be a glorious day to do battle.

Are these two different "moves/actions?" So an army that is seiging cannot pillage? An army that elects to pillage is not seiging? Or can you do both in the same season?

Two seperate actions. You can move, or pillage, or siege in a movement phase.

The English cause seems to suffer setback after setback

Could you retreat? When I look at the map I fear your retreat rout is blocked...

"4. Retreat

- An army that desires to avoid battle may either retreat into a province castle, or retreat one province. A retreat must be into an allied or home province.
- An army that loses a battle must either retreat into a castle, if in home province, or retreat one province to a home or allied province. A resignation, is treated as lost battle and a 20% loss is incurred.
- If a retreating army cannot find a valid adjacent province to retreat to, its destroyed and 20% of build points are refunded. "

Now...not sure, but I think that means the home army can go into the castle but the other cannot. If not, it may very well have been shattered. Maybe the castle was built extra-roomy!!!!!

Hm, the home army goes to it's castle...the other could go to Gasgony as it's red,but...there is a French army!
Scar will have to tell us. I don't even know wich army is home and wich is not

I am not sure about your obscure referance to Chelsea or Manunited (although i think i can guess)

Just dont lose before I can get my army into action!

The battle of Anjou is still raging Scar. Well, when I say 'raging' I mean I have hauled my large cumbersome army across the length of the battlefield through inpenetrable jungle and swamp to the steep heavily fortified plateux where the plucky and outnumbered french have set up their defensive position. The first exchanges of longbow and canon have started, but the tenderising process may take a while longer yet!

Sorry for the delay but I will give it my full attention this weekend. If deadtorius is free we should get you the result soon!
