Trouble shooting Spartan

Note: This version is completely legal, bought the disk a while back, if you need the serial key or some evidence that I own the game let me know. Anybody help me trouble shooting spartan?


I bought Spartan some time back, a completely new disk. I ran it on a computer with this hardware:
System: Windows XP Home
Service Pack: 3
Manufacturer: Dell

Worked perfectly! Got new computer with this hardware:
*Windows XP professional
*Service Pack 3
*Manufacturer: Acer

When I click to play it, it shows the "loading" screen but never loads. I read the instructions and did these steps:
*Installed the latest Direct X version.
*Had the disk properly inserted.
*Deleted the "movies" folder.
*Ran it as an administrator.
*Disabled the sound.
*Updated all graphics drivers.

Still not working! Anybody got any ideas or a suggestion? Please!

Update: Turns out I installed the wrong patches! I just installed the correct one and everything works now!
