Bythinian Armoured Spear Cav same as Bosporan horse archers?

It seems somewhat disingenuous that the same figure is used for superior armoured light spear cavalry for Bythinian allies in the late Republican Roman list as the figure used for unarmoured cavalry horse archers in the Bosporan list. I would think that a Hellenistic or Carthaginian armoured cavalry figure with spear and shield would better serve for this troop type.

Actually your expensive troops look like my cheap ones. Mine are 10 point a piece undrilled unarmoured average horse archers, yours are superior drilled armoured cavalry with light spear which I think are 18 points or so a piece.

I assume you mean for the Bosporan cavalry horse archers, not the LH. The LH is the Parthian LH which is fairly similar to the Skythian LH although I agree the Skythian image would be more accurate. It would have the drawback of making it harder to distinguish allied Skythian LH but that is probably fine. The cavalry horse archer figures, from the Bactrian folder, are relatively drab and most obviously equipped with a spear rather than a bow. The current Bosporan cavalry horse archer figure would actually be more appropriate for the Sarmatian protected, spear, Bw* cavalry in the Pontic list which currently uses the same image as it uses for the Lance armed Sarmatians.
