scrolling

Post by Keunert »

Hi all,

recently the game begun to scroll left or right automatically. i just can play it with max zoom out. i play it on a macbook pro with parallels. i did remove the mouse with the same result. the mouse and the touch pad work just fine. it's just the scrolling.

any ideas?

I've had scrolling problems too. The problem seems to occur only in games where I've accessed the Help files. It absolutely does not occur otherwise. The selection rectangle in the mini-map won't hold position; the minute I let go with the mouse the rectangle flies off to one corner or another. This forces me to play on maximum zoom-out and makes it difficult to play large scenarios. I'd hoped it would be fixed in the recent updates.

I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit with Radeon HD 3200 graphics

Same problem here. It happened 10 minutes ago after I turned on verbose info in summary display. Anyway by closing and reopening the game the problem has disappeared.

Kind regards

Closing the reloading the game is the trick to ending the scroll problem.

Sure, that's true, but the point is, it shouldn't be necessary to close the game.

I agree. I've only had it happen once though. The developers have told others that it has something to do with their keyboards or something. I doubt that.

It happens to me regularly, or used to until I stopped accessing the Help file often. The problem is not just with the mini-map either. The larger map sometimes won't hold position and will scroll to one corner too, making it impossible to play a large scenario.

But the game is really pretty bug-free, and the developers move quickly to fix things, so I'm not too upset about this.

It just happened to me. I closed down the message window after watching my opponents moved and the game scrolled to the top left corner. I couldn't scroll to see the units and the only way I could attempt to move was to zoom out to max view, but then couldn't read the percentages.

I closed down FoG and restarted and all was fine.
