I'm now going to declare my moves before opening them, as everybody should control in his outbox section into the private message directory:
1. build fortification in Phoenicia
2. attack Thracia

This afternoon, after giving time to everybody for the above mentioned control, I will open the messages and post a summary on this thread.

tofman04 wrote me he is too busy at the moment to make any action and will wait the next turn to act, but he’s still with us.
As anyone can see there are no moves interferring with each other.

Actions in Progress.

-The battle in Cappadocia has already come to an end with the victory of the Pontics invaders.
-The battle in Argolis between Macedonians and Greeks has begun.
-The battle in Narbonensis between Gauls and Massaliotes should be under way and maybe deeter or batesmotel could update us about it.

Actions Required.

-Lysimachos has to challenge george 123 about the attack in Thracia.
-george123 has to attack Epirus but his opponent’s army commander must be chosen with a lottery draw. In order to determine him it will be used the first number on the left of the wheel of Firenze that will be drawn the 29th of April at 20:00 h..
Tomorrow I’ll update the thread pinpointing the selected player that has to fight with george123.

The battle of the naked fanatics (Mercenry Galatians for the Massaliotes) is well underway with a slight edge to the Massaliotes so far. The Gaulic center is the worse for wear but the Massaliote flanks are looking iffy so too early to predict a winner.

Just to update this, the gallant Massaliotes put the naked Gauls to flight and have liberated Narbonensis from the oppressive Gallic rule.

There are news also from Macedonia where the Antigonids crushed with no problems the greek rebellion in Argolis but where defeated in Thracia after a savage fight (uncertain till the end) by the Seleucids, that now owns the province.

When the battle in Epirus ends it will be time to have a summary of the 1st turn and to begin playing the 2nd.

In a hard fought battle the Macedonian phalanx superiority won through. It was a close call though and I suspect that the result was in due part to a terrain set up that favoured Macedonia.

- All the players are subsequently requested to PM me their actions within Tuesday 11th of May at 18.00 GMT, and I’ll make it open to all the others players later that day.

Given the fact that both the Carthaginian and the Ptolemaic player has already sent their messages, and before opening them in the afternoon, I declare that the random event earthquake destroyed the Punic fortification in Sicilia.
The punctuality of batesmotel and petergarnett also enable us to anticipate the term within wich every player has to PM his actions to me to Monday at 12.00 GMT so, if it will be necessary to determine who will manage the forces of an independent provinces, we will be able to use the lottery draws of Tuesday 11th.

Well,
sorry for the Punics but the earth had to move somewhere and those fortifications seemed really impressive, stirring up the envy of the Gods.

On the other hand batesmotel interestingly wrote in his PM:
"It's a real shame that the Macedonian contractor who built their new temple used such shoddy materials. This temple is a mockery to the gods so destroy the temple in Macedonia to end the sacrilege!"
And petergarnett explained that his random event is to be placed in Baetica.

So to end the random events we have:
- destruction of the Punic fortifications in Sicilia
- destruction of the Antigonid temple in Macedonia
- placement of the Punic temporary fortifications in Baetica.

Now everybody is requested to to PM his actions to me within Monday at 12.00 GMT.

First of all I advice everybody that an updated map of the 1st turn has been posted on the rules thread in order to solve some mistakes I made in painting the roads connecting the various provinces.

The action declared by deeter as “Alliance with Rome” has been modified to “Peace Treaty” because alliances can be made only with an “invader force” (i.e. an independent unstable province).

Gauls (Cagliari 1st) 14 wich means that the Massaliotes will be managed by the Carthaginian player
Gauls (Cagliari 2nd) 15 wich means that the Peace Treaty hasn't been accepted by the Romans

Consequently I will challenge batesmotel while deeter will fight with petergarnett and .. let's fight valiantly!
