Single computer Multiplayer....

Post by stefanjhill »

Sorry if this is (a) the wrong place to post and (b) a stupid question.

Just purchased FoG, RoR, & SoA as I really got into the TT version. Unfortunately I have discovered that I can now get my FoG fix without going outside or having any real human contact - oh, or painting more 15 mm figures...

Finally I'll get to my question:

Can you player multiplayer on ONE computer or LAN? The option to have 2 human players in a game didn't leap out at me, then again I have only had the game 1 day and have spent all that time proving that the English could have lost Agincourt (five times to be exact)... <grrrrr> (er, I'm I allowed to say that?).

Thanks for any replies,
Stefan.

PS: Absolutely brilliant game based on an awesome set of rules. I have two friends I FoG with that I'm convincing to get into the computer version so we can play FoG more often. Go Hellenstics!!!

Welcome Stefan.

Play against another player is via the multiplayer option on the main FoG menu. From there you can see your current games, issue new challenges to others or accept a challenge from another player.

No such thing as a stupid question in these forums.

Sorry I wasn't that clear in my question.

By multiplayer I mean having two humans sitting in front of one computer each taking turns against each other (i.e. no internet required).

May I say FoG - digital is a dream come true, "serious" wargaming experience and the ability to trial numerous armies before spending $$$ on a new army and many hours of painting. Only had the game one day but I'm already ordering my new Medieval Germans for the TT version. Great synergy guys, congrats.

Regards,
Stefan.

Wouldn't selecting Human vs. Human in the preferences allow this. The first human player does his turn and hits the end turn button. The map will automatically switch sides and the second player can then sit down and do his turn.

Thanks for that.

Don't I feel the idiot. The option staring me in the face was the one I was looking for...
