Duly voted but also added my nomination of RoR in the best expansion to an existing game section - it too is a credit to Slitherine & Hexwar IMO.

you've got to be kidding us? Vote for this POC as some best game of its catagory? This game has no single player challenging ai to speak of and you want us to vote for it? hahahahahahah That's so funny I forgot to laugh. I'd be more likely to vote for it as one of the most customer gouging games of the century in that you must buy ROR to get the DAG for the origional game plus any future expansions. You must buy ROR if you want DAG at all. The co. sure made sure they could suck another $20-$30 out of everyone that bought the origional version didn't they?

Real men play head to head. Yeah, the AI is crap. But the multiplayer experience is the slickest and easiest of any around. And although the game has flaws, its developers show an admirable (and unusual) eagerness to address issues and to continue to develop the game. More so than any other wargames company I've encountered (and some of them have been very good in that regard, though most give up after a few months tinkering).
