Carrying Cases
Where did the BHGS mob who went to Alex in 09 get their carry cases from ? Seems to be ideal for next year, or travel in general with figures.

Many years ago for 25mm 5th/6th WRG I used a briefcase with foam packing. I'd like to get something similar - magnetic bases help, but if the box gets knocked over, as has happened to me, the figures can end up in heap. The closest I've seen is this:

I suspect D trays are what's needed for FoG, but would need some modifying as the depths aren't right with only 40x20mm - fine for infantry, but not for cavalry. But as I'm not in the UK I haven't had a chance to look at them, so perhaps I'm wrong.

I've never seen the product, but this looks similar to what you describe:peterrjohnston wrote:Many years ago for 25mm 5th/6th WRG I used a briefcase with foam packing. I have got the Kaiser Rushforth cases and they have so far been great. They have some trays that you can self modify and this works very well for FOG armies. I got the aluminium carry case for About £40. Now I try to get a cardboard storage case everymonth at about £20 if I have the funds. The mail order postage is free and the service has so far been good.
I have tried to find a lonk to the cases that a lot of the UK travelling crowd use but have not been able to.
They are aluminium cantilever tool cases with four compartments at the top that hinge out and a big space at the bottom. I was able to fit a full DBM Welsh army with all the dismounts and mounts and my rules, terrain and everything else in the one box. It also has the advantage of looking like it contains something valuable so when you tell the man on the x-ray machine not to tip it on its side they seem to listen.
