Manual (Help)

Post by jamespcrowley »

Slitherine have done a really fantastic job with the development of FoG and the latest iteration is excellent.

However the Help files, as a manual, are a bit of a patchwork quilt - a bit fragmented.

There are older pages with not totally accurate information on, original pages with some add-ons and some new material; all in different layouts and font -sizes.

For instance, I was under the impression that the Comabt Mechanism was going to be redone, explaining things in terms of dice rolls rather than percentages. and I still can't find any reference to 'to hit' numbers which are critical to the game and the effect of POAs.

Judging by the queries raised by many players on the forum, I think a revised, updated help would be enormously helpful, especially for new players but also as a point of refrence for experienced players.

To be honest we're struggling to keep the updates coming and updating the documentation is something we have not had time to keep on top of as we try to keep feedback in game as much as possible.

No, its unlikely there will be a printbale manual. It's just too big a job to keep it up to date.
