Why are the Welsh knights in this list 'swordsmen' and not 'lancers, swordsmen'?

Maybe because they were'nt trained as other Knights were in the art of charging with the Lance?

Like a number of knights in the lists they were considered rubbish so don't deserve the classification. Mostly English tho.

Thanks for your replies. The reason that I ask is because the 'Followers' cavalry in the list is 'lancers, swordsmen' so clearly there was lance training Wales and when the Knights are included in allied French Men-at-arms battle groups they are 'lancers, swordsmen'.
