MF/HF

Going through the FOG army list books I noticed that in many armies your Theurophoroi can either be MF or HF but must all be the same. In the FOG PC lists they are all MF. Would it be possible to give you a choice of either or?
Reason for this is that MF give their opponents certain + POA's that your enemy would not get if they were HF. In my TT Selucids I am going to do a second unit of Thorakitai as HF (same thing can be either or but the PC game only gives you MF option) since I have to deal with lancers (bloody Roman allies) and they get an extra + vs MF which they would lose versus HF.

Something to consider in your PC battles too.

I prefer my Thorakitai as MF.
They offer a much needed "all terrain" fighting ability to compliment my "only plain terrain" phalanx.
Indeed, lancers (and cavalry in general) are dangerous against MF in the open but... why get a HF Thorikitai instead another phalanx unit??
Ok, you have armor, but you miss the pike bonus, and HF offensive spears are pretty weak IMHO (except Carthaginian veterans which are nice but expensive).
They are at a disadvantage against pikes and are not so good against impact foot and you miss the MF speed and rough terrain fighting ability.

In any case, it will be nice the DAG offered us all the book lists election possibilities

Actually HF armoured spears, even MF armoured spears are a really nice unit. I wish I could have more than just one in my TT Seclucid army. It all has to do with who you are fighting, and in the PC game you can choose very open terrain if you want. Good for the pikes and good for the heavy foot spears.
As for combat advantage, if your fighting pikes you get + for spear and + for better armour so you even out.
Against impact foot ie Romans (my TT opponent) you get + for spear they lose sword due to steady spear and even out on armour so your actually up one or the equivalent of a pike block. If the enemy are only protected you go up ++ with the armoured spears.
Main thing is the enemy cav which like I said if they have lance can give them a bonus in both impact and then a minus to you for cohesion test being MF.

Given the option and depending on the circumstances HF might be a good choice.
