Restoring a saved game

Post by aganrafa »

Easy install, everything working fine except for restoring a saved game.

I load the game and from the main menu I hit "esc" and go to the save menu. I choose my save and the game acts like it's loading the bar goes all the way across but then nothing. When I alt+tabbed I found an error waiting on me...

"Failed to fetch data from battle state: Sizes do not match: State:80 != call:1 (0)"

When I click on ok another error box pops up...

BBC:BA:BBC_BA.exe - Fatal Application Esit
"*** Unhandled Exception! ExpCode: 0x80000003 ExFlags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x75C222A1 Please report!"

So I'm reporting. If you need any more information just let me know.

Loving this so far. Never played the previous game so this is a new experience for me. [/img]

If you can post the save file to info@slitherine.co.uk that would be awesome - I'm not sure why it would fail - unless you were trying to load a save from a prior version (although that doesn't sound likely).

Thanks for letting us know.

Cheers

I've had the same error trying to load a saved game.
Which file do you want to be sent?, because there is no file with the name that I gave to my save.

The filenames are unicode, so we can't use them for the filenames.

Hmmm - it's a problem certainly. Usually you don't really care, but for this kind of scenario it would be useful.

Is there any way you can determine the file through the timestamp? If you can narrow it down to a few, then you can rename the extension and see which files vanish. Not ideal I know!

Cheers

Ok, I've sent a file that I guess it's the correct one...

Thanks - hopefully we can repeat the problem.
