Chariots adjacent to enemy at the end of a turn

Post by moet »

I read in the "What new" file that :

At the end of a player turn, scythed chariots that are adjacent to unbroken enemies and have not moved that player turn are eliminated.

Does this rule applies only to the scythed chariots or to every kind of chariots ?

Scythed chariots only I believe - they were driven into the enemy lines in the hope of disrupting the enemy but at a cost of losing the chariots themselves.

yes its only for scythed chariots.
From what I have read the driver worked the horses up to the charge then just before impact would bail off the back end and high tail it back to their own lines. The chariots and horses were to end up in a grand mess of blood, severed limbs and broken chariot pieces. That is why they don't count towards your army break point if they go bye bye.

In the TT rules they (scythed chariots only) are removed at the end of the melee phase if in contact with non-broken enemy. For FoG PC the equivalent to this is likely to be removing them at the end of the opposing players turn if they are still in contact with non-broken enemy.
