Crossbow
Is normal that crossbow average units in close combat do more damage than a superior cavalry?

How badly shot up were the pikes before they closed with the corossbowmen? If the pikes were down to 75% or less, that might help explain it.pandabianco wrote:Yes in almost every fight. But what impressed me was the last battle I was against a multitude of crossbow(average) who fought on equal with the Swiss pikemen(superior).

Does the 'final defensive fire' of the crossbowmen in the impact phase have a bearing?
ie is it that they do better than expected at impact, and can that be explained by their firing bonus at impact being taken into account?

While people are talking about Xbow men I have noticed that the unit description for the HYW English Late are wrong. The Town and County Men are noted as Longbowmen but actually have Xbow. The actual look of the unit seems OK but is a tad confusing and would be better if shown as firing so you can clearly see they are Xbows.
