Storm of Arrows requirements

I had a little look round, but I couldn't see an answer for this. Apologies if this has been asked before. When the expansion comes out, will I need the Rise of Rome as well as the base FOG to buy and play SoA? I don't have a huge interest in the Ancients period, so I only have the basic FOG game. I want to jump straight to the Medieval period if I can?

No you do not need Rise of Rome. Each army pack is separate so you only have to buy the bits you want.
