Nuclear weapons

Post by tactical22 »

As a suggestion, I think it would be nice to be able to develop nuclear weapons in 1945 and destroy with a single shot a city or any unit.

There are so many reasons why this is a bad idea, I won't bother listing them.

I don´t think it´s such a bad idea. After all the USA used it to end the war. And the germans were developing this weapon as well. Who knows what would have happened If they got it first...

I don't think it's a good idea, because developing a nuclear weapon in essence ends the game. So to make it more historical in a game like this, it would essentially mean setting aside 5% (or more) of all your PPs throughout the game, and if you randomly progress enough to get the nuke first, you win.

That doesn't sound like a fun game to me.

This is a wargame, and as far as I'm concerned, using nuclear weapons isn't war. It's politically-driven slaughter of civilians. It was arguably necessary in 1945, but I still don't want to see it become part of the game.
