Donnington in the USA

Post by pcelella »

Is there any distributor for Donnington miniatures in the USA? I've been considering ordering some of their figures, but the shipping charges are extortionate. Just looking for a way to avoid paying those.

I don't believe so. I think you just have to suck up the shipping costs. One thing is to make sure your order is reasonably large (or club together with some other people) as IIRC they have a large fixed cost.

The shipping costs are ratcheted up in a stairstep progression. A single figure added to your order can suddenly double the shipping cost, which seems on the high side as it is. If you are not careful and attentive to the stairstep tipping points and jumps in shipping costs, you can easily end up with 1/3rd of the order cost going to postage.

Donnington has been my mainstay for minis for over 20 years, but do be careful to keep an eye on the shipping cost when filling your order .

Great Hall Games in Austin, Texas sells the Donnington New Era Medievals and Rob is very quick to post the orders. They sell them in BG packs and not the individual figs but Rob might be able to help you out with that. Just ask him.
