Is there a definition of what constitutes a "Celtic" team?

I think its something to do with the Celtic countries,Scotland,Ireland,Wales,France,as to how many in the team ,Lynda and I had Welsh grandparents so that should qualify as a Welsh teamWelsh team if the football teams are anything to go by

Yes, that must be it. It's far more credible than being something to do with where your grandparents came from!

I take it you can enter still if you've not got a team.

Need to speak to the long haired CinC, but I may join you Dave, I have never wargamed North of the Border. Would count you out of the Celtic team place tho Dave, unless having a Welsh surname counts?

I am thinking about going as well. It depends on the social schedule really.

Just a thought

Its teams of three or single players.

There is one pool for FOG

I would imagine that the first round is no club memers play each other.

What happens after that, what if in round two there are two players of the same team drawn against each other.

If not team players against each other does that mean you have pools of whatever the number of teams there are ie all members of teams are seperated from each other and drawn from a sepetate pool.

Just a thought.

It used to be quite common to run team competitions from a single pool, you just need to ensure that members of the same team don't play each other.

Hi David and Lynda

I'm still negotiating if I can get there to join you - trying to juggle work times isn't easy for me. Hopefully I can let you know soon.

Cheers

When I went in the DBM days it was a single pool and only the main celtic teams could not play other team members. There was a sub tournament for the top celtic teams in addition to the one for everyone else and all the other teams. It meant that when the MAWS team were in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place afer two rounds that we had to play each other :(

Hi guys

We have space in a room for the Friday and Saturday night if anyone is interested.

For "may" read "WILL". Capitals indicate volume. Although I have never heard myself, I can only report what everyone I've ever shared a room with has said.
