Not that I'm likely to attend, so you can discount my opinion :), but the Saturday does put me off. I remember the Saturday evening game at the WIC in Epson(?) and thinking never again.
I would have thought a switch to the now WIC format of 2+2+2 would make more sense for six games.

So the umpires don't hand out suncream at Britcon then?
It's Manchester. Umbrellas would be more useful!

It is something we already regularly consider. At present the balance appears to be pretty much in favour of the 3 days, however, it may change and one option we have considered is offering comps with 6 games and comps with 5 games to cater for preferences - so for e.g. we could have a 6 game FoG comp (for real players) and a 5 game FoG comp (lightweight option <g>) on offer at the same time.

Manchester + Friday mitigates against that

It may be surprising, but 2 games of Friday is not something the punters seem to be interested in on the whole.

Plus, for some of us, the necessity of taking time off is a consideration when deciding if a competition is viable, not starting until the evening gives more choice.

And I now have a decent army that can fight in all three 15mm periods. Just to keep myself guessing.

Yup, it would be tricky playing three games at the same time. That would certainly keep me guessing....

They have clothes and don't drink cider on Friday night. Maybe a bit of Baijiu, occasionally

Phil

I never knew you were so rich. With the new taxes I have stopped drinking Westons and switched to Bolli as a cheaper option.

Asda do Westons Scrumpy extra special 7.5% for GBP 4.08. That is just over 14 units. And it tastes nicer IMNVHO.

Agreed but the 4.08 gets you 2 Ltrs not 'just less than 3 pints for 4.00'.

I planning on taking my Norse Irish(25mm) to Britcon this year....only two more units to finish.....only slight logistical problem is the size of the army even at 650 points its huge.
