Wallachian Nobles
What kind of figure should I use for the Wallacian Nobles CV armoured Bw* Lt Spear? The figure I got with the army don't have bows and indeed seem to have a heavy lance....I want something different than the light horse figure which is unarmoured if possible.........What about some kind of Ottoman armoured figure?
Below are the Codes for Essex......NEWEMED73 is used as my light horse and has Spear and Bow.
I have NEWEMED72 as well, but these guys have a HEAVY lance and no Bow. If you look at the FOG classifications the Moldavians are Knights, which these will work for, however they don't look so right for the Wallachians which are Lt Spear Bw* Armoured. I think the suggestion of Russians may be the way to go, however I already have some Ottoman Turks painted to match this army, and I may have enough stands that are generic enough (not clearly Ottoman / Muslim markings) that I can use......Would round shields be that out of place?
Another option is to re-base some of the light horse to 3 to a base, but they really don't look armoured, and that might leave me a little short of light horse.
NEW 15mm EASTERN EUROPEAN MEDIEVAL:
WALLACHIAN / MOLDAVIAN (VLACH)
CODE DESCRIPTION PRICE
NEWEMED72 Heavy Cavalry, Plate Armour, Lance & Shield, on Unarmoured Horse (variants) £2.15
NEWEMED73 Medium/Light Cavalry, Lance & Bow, variants £2.15
NEWEMED74 Spearmen, Various Poses & Shields £2.15
NEWEMED75 Archers (variants)
