Thats a good question! I will like to know the answer too
While playing, by the battle name you can see something like this (T16). At first i thiough it was the turns lenght (16 turns). But on the same battle, some turns latter i noticed its said (T28) so now i'm not so sure...
Maybe the turn length its not fixed in DAG battles, but can increase if the battle is still going on when the final turn approaches??
Don't know...

The game length is chosen by the scenario or DAG battle designer. If you use the scenario builder its one of the entries you have to complete. Its shown at the bottom of the Victory Conditions screen.Blathergut wrote:But what determines game length? And how do you know the length of a particular game?

But this does not apply to DAG battles, so how is it determined? I had one (400 point DAG) game timed out at 16 turns, but others have gone to the mid 20s when both players were being very cautious.Ironclad wrote:The game length is chosen by the scenario or DAG battle designer. Is it random or what?

Interesting. I haven't experienced a DAG time out but on checking a number of my current DAG games - one 500 and the rest 400 - they all showed 26 turns duration, so I had assumed that was the standard selected for that size DAG battle and that in practice they would time out at 25.rbodleyscott wrote:But this does not apply to DAG battles, so how is it determined? Hmm, I think most of mine last to the high teens to early 20's (except for one horrible disaster that ended on turn 5)deeter wrote:Just checked my exisitng DAG games which range from 400 through 800 points and they are all 26 turns, which seems excessive given that few DAG games last over 10 turns in my experience.
Deeter
edit:
Ok now that Im home and looking at the las 15 DAG battles i see that I am totally wrong and most were completed in the 8-14 turn range... I swear they felt like they were much longer (maybe because i was losing
