Field Fortifications How to?
The title has it all... ( really did try, searched the manual, loaded up a new scenario in the editor, tried a dag game, cant figure out how to place them, possibly not yet implemented?)

Thanks Peter, I guess that means they are not avaialble in the scen. editor but only in DAG battles?
I swear I loaded up a Roman Dag battle and didnt see any forts laying around to deploy, nor did I see any option to purchase them... Maybe it is random if you get them.. Will have to fiddle w it again after work.

A few thoughts about fortifications: There seems to be only to option to place them straight ahead, not on a diagonal, which seems limiting. Come to think of it, there is no way to face troops other than straight ahead in DAG games.
On the TT, fortifications are allowed to deploy further onto the map than the normal deployment zone. I used them once on the PC and found the enemy easily avoided them, in part because they were so far back. Alos, TT rules allow units such as artillery to deploy forward behind the forts, making them potentially quite useful for setting up killing zones.
As it stand now, they don't seem to contribute much except to limit mobility. I doubt if I'll waste points on them again.

If you mean in the customer scenario generator, after placing a unit, there's a radial button you can select across the bottom of the screen that says 'rotate'. You can use that to change the directional facing by clicking and holding the mouse butting and rotating the unit in the direction you like.deeter wrote:Come to think of it, there is no way to face troops other than straight ahead in DAG games.
