Lautulae 315 BC scenario (Romans vs samnites)
I've prepared this scenario about the battle of Lautulae, fought in 315 BC between the Romans and the Samnites (500 points circa per army).

I would be glad to know your comment, whatever they could be.

I was having a fun time with the scenario till the null-pointer bug crashed my game
I will play further when the 1.1.2 patch is released, but so far it looks like the Samnites are a bit too strong? I mean, the battle description made me believe that it was going to be a balanced fight, but the Samnites have a very strong cavalry and can place their infantry in strong defensive positions (uphill and behind a ditch). However, the clash with the Roman heavy infantry has barely started in my game, so I'm really not sure if one side is stronger than the other.
A couple of typos:
- There is a cavalry unit on the Samnite right that is labeled as "General" but actually is not a general
- On the Samnite left, one infantry unit is labeled "Iinfantry"
IMHO, this scenario is a must for anyone that likes infantry battles. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the tips, I'm going to delete the mistakes!
In any case the Samnite infantry hasn't the same staying power of the Roman Legion and the games generally remains open till the end.
About the cavalry, it seems that in reality Roman cavalry suffered much, so I tried to deploy the mounted units accordingly.

Finished my Samnite game and played another one as the Romans with LoS enabled
I was wrong, the scenario is balanced
I got more or less the same results no matter which side I played. Of course, against a human opponent things may be completely different.
The fight for the hill on the Roman left was quite fun, specially with the trees blocking the LoS.
Thanks for a great scenario!
