Later Ottoman Figures

Post by ShadowbendStudios »

Hello everyone;
Back in my WRG 7th days I had a tournament Ottoman army that was composed of these great figures that I'm now trying to track down. The one thing I remember about them was that they had that sort of short, squat, "dwarven" look that I remember from Gladiator miniatures but I remember that army and those figures fondly. Since I am now working on a Later Ottoman list I was hoping to find those same figures again.

I know I'm being vague but if this jogs anyone's memory I'd be thankful for any assistance in finding these minis.

Thanks again,

My advice is to check figures form Legio Heroica, they are wonderfull:

Unfortunately Legio doesn't make Janissery with bow, those from Essex are good.

For some Cv and some LH I used also figures from AB - Mamelukes (even if they are for Napoleonic wars, they are great):

The ones Ally Morrison designed in the mid 70's, straight from contemporary prints. Gorgeous but long, long since out of production.

Best 15mm Janissaries with bows are Old Glory 15s, Period!

In fact, their turk line is excellent!

Hi Madcam!

WOW you we right, I just took a second look at Old Glory and I'll be placing my order tomorrow. Their figures are very well sculpted and the poses and variety are excellent!

Thanks for the tip!
