New Features for Scenario Editor?

Post by Talizh2 »

Loving Rise of Rome but I was wondering if there are any plans to add some features to the scenario editor.

1. Maybe I just do not know how to do it but it seems as though a custom scenario cannot have fortifications or a camp. Is this right? It really limits the sorts of battles we can model (Alesia immediately comes to mind but so many Roman battles involved at least a palisade or earthworks).

2. It would be cosmetic but nice if we could add text to the maps. For example, naming a river or bridge or hill.

3. A way to copy and paste user-modified units in a scenario without needing to make each unit one at a time (a bit tiresome in a really monstrous scenario).

Love DAG but historical scenarios are my favorite. Thanks to all the scenario makers out there. With the armies and figures added by this latest expansion a lot of new battles can be depicted. Hopefully forts and palisades are in the works!

By the way, when using the editor I'm not able to find, for example, the Attalid and Early Armenian units, wich are in the DAG system, while there are Arabs and Persians.
It seems quite odd.
Does anyone has an answer for it?
And wouldn't be possible, in the future, to allow a scenario designer to use the armies present in the DAG system?
This would semplify and fasten the work, adding also new units to be used.
