Poll about map sizes!

Post by pomakli »

Hi everyone!

There are very different suggestions about map sizes!

So I thought we can arrange a pool!

I assume we're talking about DAG battles? I think those maps are fine. The maps in many of the scenarios are too small IMO.

I voted before I realised the consequence (not enough width for cavalry - artificial edge used to secure a flank). I voted 'nothing unusual' whereas I'd like to (but can't) change my vote to too narrow / too small.

Cohesion test penalyt for being near the edge

Post by batesmotel »

One thing the TT rules do to limit the usefulness of defending the edge of the table is to give a minus 1 in cohesion tests for any non-skirmishers that are within 6" of the edge. This would be the equivalent of bow range, so 5 hexes although I'm not sure how well that would work especially with some smaller scenario maps. Maybe it should be normally be within 5 hexes but be changeable for scenarios.
