Field of Glory Update Issue

Hi,

today I bought and downloaded Field of Glory. The installation (version 1.01) went without problems, and I was able to register the game, enter the game and play single player games.

However, when I attempt to update the game using patch 1.02 or 1.03 the update fails. After entering the serial number the error message "Invalid serial number" pops up and the update process stops. This is rather surprising, because the very same serial number was accepted during the installation of versoin 1.01.

How should I proceed to fix this problem?

Where did you buy the game from and where did you get the patch from?

Hi iainmcneil,

thank you for the hint. I bought the game from the Slitherine website, but when I couldn't find the patch there I downloaded it from matrixgames.com ("FieldofGlory-Update-v103.exe"). This lead to the problems described above. After your forum post I rechecked the Slitherine homepage, and found "Field_of_glory_patch_1.03.exe". I was able to installl this file without problems.
