Any suggestions for the best range of figures for putting together a Hanseatic League army in 15mm from the Medieval German City Leagues list in Lost Scrolls?
Also, for those FoG:R types out there. If it was a sufficiently late version of the army, would you think this might morph into a future FoG:R army once the relevant rules, lists etc are published? This would be a long term project on my list of 'wants/would like', as I suspect it will probably be a while before army list books might appear for FoG:R that cover such an army.

Depends what you are looking for. I doubt anyone makes minis that are to well suited for the Marines, so you might need to accept a compromise or tinker with existing minis. For most other troop types the generic medieval ranges should be ok. Yes, the earliest FoG:R Army lists will start 1494, so are actually overlapping a little bit with the City Leagues list. Total guess on my part but I would expect that by this time next year we will have a publication date for the FoG:R list that covers the very late Hansa. This is just based upon the FoG:AM speed of production. I would hope/expect it to be in a volume that covers all the states around the Baltic before the 30YW - Livonia Wars and the Grand Master here we come, yipee!

If you are looking to do a late medieval/early rennaissance crossover army, I suggest Essex' Landsknecht range for the foot and MER8+ knights for mounted. The German mounted crossbow and cavalry in the EMED range is also modelled from a late 15th c. source. Mix in some other MER figs for variety and you should have a nice looking army.
