Future armies
Just thinking about which armies I want to paint next.
I really need a dark ages age army, so OK Norse Irish.
But then I also need a biblical army so Ok I already have the lead so i'll start my Assyrian.
But then I think FOG R's coming soon, so I need a renaissance army, so I will get an Ottoman and use it for FOG R and FOG AM.
But then I think Ottoman is nt Renaissance enough so I need a Castilian Spanish.
But then I really really need a dark ages army .............. AHHHHHHHHHH
Is it just me or does everybody have this dilemma.

Its not a dilemma, its a cash flow problem. Now solved with my new job. But now I'm buying FoW stuff. Methinks this may create a space problem.MatthewP wrote: Is it just me or does everybody have this dilemma.

putting the arg into argumentative, except for the lists I check where there is no argument!

I am working on trying to persuade Mich that she should paint the Aztec army she has had sitting waiting to be done since before DBM came out
Sadly my painting time at the moment is being devoted to chaps that wear an awful lot of green and who drive around in big green metal boxes. Either that or the landscape the drive their boxes over. I do have a couple of 4 horse chariots for them though and will paint the chariots and the unprotected SMG/swordsmen cavalry eventually.

That is also a cash flow problem -if you had more dosh you could buy a larger house to store more toys in

I am seriously considering making a new games room under my house. Sadly I suspect this would be a rather large cash flow issue. it would be nice to have a room big enough for a small campaign though.nikgaukroger wrote:philqw78 wrote: Its not a dilemma, its a cash flow problem. Well Michele bought her own wargames army but I gave her her bowling ballkevinj wrote:I have to admit I'd not thought of buying my wife an army for her birthday! For some reason it conjures up memories of the Simpsons episode where Homer buys Marge a bowling ball...I still regret wimping out on buying my wife a very nice Reconquesta 15mm DBM/DBR army for her birthday
True but she doesn't bowl any more so the ball has been disposed of (I think it was given to another member of my bowling team).timmy1 wrote:James
Care. Bowling balls are very heavy and can be a dangerous weapon in the hands of an enraged 'significant other'.
I on the other hand have still got three bowling balls :O

Tried that. Got told that when my wife runs out of room and requires a different turnout, she weeds out old stuff and throws it away. Therefore as I have too many mini's, the solution is that I have to get rid of an army before I can get a new one.

Do what your wife does. Move them around, throw an old box in the bin, buy something in a new box..timmy1 wrote:Tried that.
