What does "Single Line" mean

Post by Jaruuk »

In the army books in the back it says that only one unit can be used per single line unless stated in the army design notes.

Does that mean by line divisions on the far left? In other words by name?

So if "Warriors" is the name on the left and it shows Medium foot, average/poor, drilled/undrilled, offensive spear/heavy weapon.... you can then only choose one of those types? If specific examples are needed I'll go get my books.

Thanks

It means all elements in any one bg has to be of the same type but a different unit can be differently armed etc, so from your example

Unit A could be MF Ave Drilled Off Spear

Unit B could be MF Pr Undrilled H/Weapon

But you cannot have a mix of any type unless specified in the army list.
When it is allowed in most cases it results in a rear rank armed with say Bow while front rank is H/weapon or whatever.
