Help! I just bought the game but it doesn´t run
Hi
I just bought the game, updated to 1.12 and also downloaded the strategic campaign
I can´t run neither the game nor the strategic campaign. I get an erro txt file with the line Kernel Memory Checking is OFF, any ideas?

Right click on your desktop and go to properties. It will be in video options somewhere.
Which version did you start with - i.e. where did you get (there are lots of versions out there)? Where did you grab the patch from (you need the right one for your version)?
Have you applied the Grand Strategy mod?

Graphic card: GeForce 6200 256MB
I bought the game on Slitherine shop and after downloading and installing it, I downloaded the 1.12 patch from Slitherine downloads, and applied the patch, then I downloaded the Grand Strategy also from Slitherine downloads and installed. After all that I tried to run the game, then the Grand Strategy, but both unsuccesfully. I tried erasing the setting files, as I saw that was adviced in another thread, but it didn´t work. Everytime I try to run the game I get an error txt file with the line Kernel Memory Checking is OFF.

This graphics card is very old and low spec. Is the game supposed to run on such hardware? Have you tried to update the video drivers?

Have you tried running the game in windowed mode? Do you have displays connected to your machine or one?

How many displays do you have connected to your PC, more than one?
You can press <print> on your keyboard to catch a picture of the black menu before it closes. Paste it in a document and mail us.

How many screens, some have noted full screen problems if the PC is connected to more than one screen.

My feel is that you have some other software on your machine that prevents the game from running.
