Allied units disappear from Syria after fall of France

I'm in PBEM game, where Paris didn't fall until Aug 26. So I was able to move a couple of UK units into Damascus & Lebanon. When Paris fell and Syria turned Vichy, the units seem to have disappeared, and are not even in the Allied build queue.

Is this a known bug?

Not really a bug but it is known....and allied units in Vichy French terrortory when France falls are destroyed and any Axis units will go to their build que

Thanks, I wasn't sure, but I'd thought I'd risk it anyway. 50PPs down the drain!
