Knights get 6 dice and get 5 hits. Spear get 6 dice and get no hits.

Spear roll 3 on cohesion test.

I've never seen so many 2's and 1's.

I've never seen a BG of fresh Offensive Spear die so quickly either (without loss!!! - the only 6 was the death roll).

My Unprotected, Poor, Undrilled medium foot armed only with bows bounced off cataphracts recently...of course said cataphracts came in again and killed them...but they had bought enough time for my elephants to get over and then hit the cataphracts and kill them in turn.

In the same battle, though, two units of cataphracts destroyed two of my units of elephants (or rather they just barely won, exposing the elephants to a death check at +1, which I promptly failed in both cases).

I once had a BG of LF caught from behind by a 12 stand pike block, while in the midst of interpenetrating. Killed a base and disrupted the pike, who then had to fight elephants while conformed into a marsh.

Actually I played a game today where my dice rolled 4+ almost all the time

Sadly it was a boardgame where I wanted to roll 1s, 2s and 3s.

I mean when you need 1-3 to hit you would expect me to be able to roll perhaps 2 out of 16 dice lower than 4?

In the last game Blathergut and I played we both ended up rolling far too many 1's and 3's on our dice. Both flanks on opposite sides collapsed in no time, he won one and I the other. then my pikes decided well lets not be different and dropped 2 levels of cohesion on the third combat, there goes my center... oddly after all our disasters I was within 2 points of breaking him and he was within 1 point of breaking me, sad to say he broke me first but it was an epic battle of crappy die rolls and was a close finish at the end
