Unless you feel you need it I would say drop the IC for an FC and make your 2 FC's TC's. You have drilled troops and light troops so not sure moving them is an issue for you.
personally I would say lose some of the light troops for something that will be able to stand its ground. I once ran an army with too many lights, they can't hold ground for you since most of the time they will evade or if they get into melee they will usually be on the -- side of things.

You might want to check with Alp Arslan himself (Nik G) - international champion winner with Seljuks. See this thread about the 6th battle viewtopic.php?t=7152 and find the 5 others for the preceding games. Well worth a read. Not wanting to try to touch perfection, I don't play Seljuks (I have Il-Khanids, which are not as good but drilled Hospitallers are a fairly nimble threat to wave around). Your list shows similarities to Nik's, thus evidencing signs of genius.

One principle of the experts in shooty horse armies (cited in the tactical tips sticky) is that the more skilled you are, the more cavalry you can have relative to LH (since LH are more forgiviing).

I don't know the Seljuk Turk list but one thing that leaps out is you should take the Turcoman LH as 3 x 4 instead of 2 x 6. 6 LH is just too unwieldy whereas 4 LH bow, swordsman are the bane of my regular opponents.

You'll find a number of my Seljuq lists here, although many are later than the date you're looking at - http://www.endoftime.pwp.blueyonder.co. ... mitars.htm - and the whole of my Helsinki run with Alp Arslan here - http://www.endoftime.pwp.blueyonder.co. ... lsinki.htm
