I am new here. I imagine the Fields Of Glory for 24pounds is just the rule book. So where can I purchase the minatures ?
Also are there any photos here of minatures setup on a tabletop. I dont mind buying from overseas but is there a known store in Australia that sells Slitherine products ?
Mick.
Also, it seems long ago I did join join this site as when I tried to register it informed me that my email was already inuse.
I tried to retrieve my password but it requested my username to do so! Is there a way to find out my username, as I had to set up a new email account to rejoin this site ?

Slitherine do not sell figures - however, go here and you'll find loads of companies that do http://www.madaxeman.com/main/15mm_anci ... pliers.php

You will need to decide what scale to are going to play in (15mm is the most popular in most places but 28mm is another option). Then if you know what army or armies you are interested in you can ask on here and people will give you specific recommendations of figure manufacturers.
It's always worth looking on Ebay, especially if you want to buy already painted figures.

Try here for photos of figures set up on tables in the battle reports: http://www.madaxeman.com/match_reports_index.php and try here for a gallery of pictures of figures in general: http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/index.php.nikgaukroger wrote:LordScroop wrote:I am new here. It might be better if you were to try and find out if there is a local club nearby where you live.
That way you can see if anybody around plays FoG and what scale they play.
If you put a post in the "Tournaments and Opponents Finder" section saying I live in XXX is there a club nearby? you will probably get some help.

If you look in the after actions reports of the forums and look for any posts started by Blathergut you will see pictures and game descriptions of about 3 games between Blathergut and deadtorius.
Miniatures can be shipped world wide and you will find almost all manufacturers have web sites that you can order from. You might have a local gaming store if you look in your phone book but my own experience here in Canada is most of the gaming stores cater to the fantasy warhammer crowd so historical figures usually have to be ordered in. We are fortunate that we have a manufacturer close to where we live, Rafm Figures, so getting what we want from their ranges is no problem for us at least.
