Magnesia Scenario

I have built a scenario for Magnesia - 190BC.
Consul Lucius Cornelius Scipio's Romans vs the Seleucid Antiochus the Great.

Unfortunately I do not have a place to upload this but if any of you would like a copy please drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I will forward the relevant files.

I have done one too but the AI seems to have want to swap phalanx units between the two Seleucid phalanxes. I might send it in anyway for comments.

Yes - similar issue.

I had difficulty in getting the AI to use two phalanxes. It does seem to want to merge them.
I also find that the AI will not use the chariots and/or cataphracts aggressively and I have tried changing the ratings of the nearest commanders to 'aggressive'.

The scenario now seems to work reasonably - Playing the Seleucids as human, Romans as AI is too easy - it is more challenging playing as the Romans.

One thing I thought about but have not tried is to redo this with a map that is less deep i.e. reduces the separation of the two armies.
This may give the AI less options (that is a guess - I have no idea how the AI is scripted).

Might be version 2.

I am making a mistake so that I can't see the game under "custom scenaios" in the game menu!

That's mine 19. custom scenario, which I downloaded!

Where is the mistake?

Having got the scenario I see what you mean about the phalanxes & cataphracts. Nevertheless this is a really excellent scenario, well worth playing.
