Light Foot- IN OPEN- Fortifications - Non-Skirmishers?

Post by kal5056 »

If a Battle group pf non-shirmishers is engaged fighting an enemy which is defending fortifications the attacking battle group is not considered to be in the open. Does this then mean that light foot could charge them?

Thank You

The rules do state the target needs to be in non-open terrain not sure behind a fortification counts unless it was set up in some kind of terrain other than open.
It could be a rules lawyer thing but my guts say no. Not sure the light boys are that fanatic to die throwing themselves up against fortifications

I think fortifications don't change the type of terrain, so you must not look to the presence of fortifications, but to the terrain where fortifications are in.

I don't believe so - no.

A combat effect is not a terrain type.

I think that Fortifications (unlike Portable Obstacles) don't actually disorder anybody. Including those fighting over them.

So as other people have intimated - no you can't!
