Multiplayer Functionality
When I hit the Multiplayer button...I get a pop up that says something is wrong with ..\..\..\..\common]plugin.cpp:7371
then it looks up trying to find the network...
any ideas?

This is from another support thread but may also apply to you:
The game was developed on Vista and Windows 7 systems (as well as on Apple Max OSX systems!) and works 100% AOK on Windows XP, Vista and 7. The is no need to run in compatibility mode in any version.
The key thing on any 64 bit system is to make sure you take all the default installation options and do not take the install as administrator option unless Windows suggests this option during installation. Just install the game as it is supplied. Modify the installation at your own peril.
During installation on 64 bit systems (depending on your other settings) windows may ask you if you wish to re-install using its recomended settigs. Always say YES if given this option (if not offered it then there is no need)
e.g. Windows 7 will then change the install path from c:\program files to c:\program files(x86)
Norton, Windows & AVG firewalls all allow the game to access multiplayer with no modifications required. Basically take all the default settings and the game will install successfully and play multiplayer. So if things are still not working try uninstalling and reinstalling as above. If you cannot then access multiplayer then you must have a setting in your firewall(s) on the PC or router blocking access to the web by the game.

Okay, I reinstalled the software accepting the computer recommendations for everything...I went into the Microsoft 7 firewall and gave it permission to let Field of Glory through...I contacted my internet provider and learned how to turn off the firewall in the router...and after all of those things the original message went away and I got the same message the other threads are getting...is there something in the Multiplayer game router that is rejecting inquires from certain operating systems...

Microsofts firewall allows access by default without changing any settings.
If you do add manually then there are three applications to add:-
fognet.exe
fog.exe
fieldofglory.exe
All on port 80
fognet.exe if the multiplayer engine, fog.exe is the game launcher and tells you about news and game updates. FieldOfGlory.exe is the main game engine and posts results.

I have the same problem, and tried using a network cable to connect but it didnt work. My multiplayer has worked perfectly for 4 full days..but this morning it stoped working for some reason. I too get caught in "Launching" message. The thing is, i have made no changes at all to either firewall or any other settings.

The windows and all popular firewall applications allow all Field of Glory relation applications to access the Internet by default. There should be no need to change anything manually. Some firewalls may create a pop-up once where you need to typically answer an 'allow/deny internet access' prompt.
If you do add Field of Glory manually to a firewall there are three applications
fog.exe
fieldofglory.exe
fognet.exe
They all need access on port 80 but there should be zero need to do this manually in any popular firewall.
It could be that you have a second firewall program running on your PC or morelikely on your router that is blocking access.

I dont think that would make a difference. Do you play any other multiplayer games on this machine and do they work ok? It sounds like a router issue so you might need to open ports but I know nothing about that stuff unfotunately - Keith may be able to help. Are you on a LAN or wireless network, or directly connected to the internet.
